So in my usual style I dragged Nick along to the Dior Illustrated exhibition at
Somerset House on its final day!! Despite the crowds it was well worth the effort.
I have been inspired by Gruau's illustrations since I was at college, the undulating use of line and graphic use of colour have given me drawing envy on more than one occasion!
Seeing the illustrations against the final ads they were used in emphasised their modernity and cheeky humour. That smirk stayed with me as I left the exhibition dreaming of Dior and longing for the release of season 4 of Mad Men on dvd!
