A Vintage Weekend!

On the first truly chilly weekend of the year me and Nick decided it would be a good idea to head down to Spittlefields to Judy's Vintage Fair. With the help of a cup of mulled wine we kept the chill off and had a good rummage through the clothes and homeware.

I got a gorgeous 50's cutwork blouse from this stall but they don't have a website or even a name at the moment so I can't credit them! Sorry ladies but fab stuff xx

I was loving the tropical sunglasses and pineapple shaped ice store against the winter furs!

On Sunday, with my parents in tow, we headed down to York Hall (Bethnal Green) to check out the Furniture Flea, its brought to you by the makers of Judy's so same approach mixed product at reasonable prices (except the 50's Danish dining table we had our eyes on!!!)

My amazing Mum treated us to these gold teacups, as another addition to the wedding fund!

One day when we have a bigger kitchen I would love to have any of these in it!

After such a strenuous weekend we settled into The Camel, for a couple of pints at the Sunday papers! Not a bad weekend xx

Idyllic Yorkshire

So from New York to York! I was just looking though my photo album on my iphone which reminded me how much I love our fleeting trips up to Yorkshire so I just want to share a few with you!

When we arrived at Nick's parents we had roses cut from the garden in our room, so beautiful!!

Whalebone at Whitby, such an amazing clear day even though it is November!

A walk along York walls in quite different weather!

And where would a trip to Yorkshire be without a few pints of Ale in a few good pubs?!

The Hudson

I stayed at the Hudson Hotel while I was in NY. I tried to take some snaps of my room but it was too dark so just check out the link! It had great breakfast and bar and a cool vibe but I don't think the rooms are designed for two people, they are the opposite of literally everything else in New York- super tiny!!

Day Three: Madison Avenue & Time Square

I'm back in the UK now, feeling very jetlagged and a bit sad to have left New York! Its such an amazing city and it was such a fleeting trip. If we weren't saving for our wedding I think Nick and I would be saving to go back together as soon as possible!!

I just wanted to share a few more pics with you of Madison Avenue and Time Square. This area doesn't have the same kind of vibe as the Meatpacking district and is world apart from Williamsburg! It feels a bit like Oxford Street and Leicester Square in London, just a lot bigger!!
